In a director, we look
for committed individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of young
children and their families, while effectively and efficiently managing all Center
operations. The center’s director will
oversee the day to day operations of the center while demonstrating exceptional
professional conduct and consideration for the educational development, safety
and welfare of the children and staff. The center director must comply with all
standards, as set forth by current company policies and government regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
·
Develop and ensure early
childhood education curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices.
·
Ensure licensing
standards are met and assist in the accreditation process for the center.
·
Ensure a safe environment
for the children entrusted to our care.
·
Prepare yearly budget for
State & Local Agencies
·
Monitor and manage the
financial progress of the center.
·
Supervise staff members
while implementing staffing schedule.
·
Work to ensure compliance
of state regulations.
·
Maintain accurate records
of both staff and children.
·
Complete and process
potential Lead forms for State regulations.
·
Designate teachers and
primary caregivers as required by State regulations
·
Demonstrate the ability
to work with State Agencies in all matters concerning daily and weekly center
evaluations, accident/incident reports and other state required reporting.

Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position,
you must meet all state licensing requirements, including
·
Possess a Bachelor’s
Degree (in a child related field is a plus) or equivalent Child Care or
Management experience.
·
1-2 years’ of work experience
in a childcare program.
·
2-3 years in a
supervisory position in business administration or childcare
·
Understanding of general
business procedures.
·
2 + years of business management
experience desirable, including experience with budgeting and accounting.
·
Demonstrate excellent
organizational and leadership skills
·
Possess skills,
attributes and characteristics conducive to and suitable for dealing with
children, parents, coworkers, clients and management.
·
Ability to communicate
company policies and procedures in a firm and clear manner to staff and
parents.
·
Satisfy the mandatory
physical and background checks as required by the State and company regulations
and procedures.
·
Valid New York State Driver’s
License
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
·
Knowledge required (or willingness to
learn upon acceptance of position) HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Act) record keeping requirements.
·
Ability to respond appropriately in
an emergency situation required.
·
CPR and First Aid Certification or
willingness to obtain desirable.
·
Work Well under pressure
